THE BOUNDRIES OF RACE chapt 2

now we all know that racism does indeed exsist. now whether or not we chose to accept that is entirely up to each individual. i think that all depends on what racism is to some of you. you see racism isn't just black and white. if thats your theory then you are way off. racism exsist against all minorities, some religions, even some cultures. and we see it happen everyday. at our jobs, where we socialize, even in our children's school. all along while you have some idiots that claim it doesn't exsist. well in their make pretend home of the care bears's world maybey it doesn't. but in reality it does. think about this for a second if you are not a minority how the hell do you know what racism is. from reading a book? i mean come on lets not pretend that this doesn't exsist because we all know damn well it does. but what do we do as a whole to solve this problem and better yet why do some minorities chose to make things worse for themselves. going into a situation like a job interview, black men what the freakin blue hell are you thinking wearing your pants half way off your ass so that everyone can see your boxers. no one wants to see that shit. hell we can get them on sale at target instead of looking at yours and they would be cleaner at that. and you wonder why you didn't get that job or that loan. hmmm. is it not your fault. you wear gold fronts, you have your hair braided and you have a nerve to blame someone. hmmm you gotta be fucking kidding me. black women why dress for an interview like your going to the club with a fuck em dress on. what is this velvet. have some class don't show your ass. and i'm starting this critism at home because we as african american men and women need to up our game at all angles because we know going in that the odds are against us to be successful. so don't help the system by leaning towards the stereo- type that already exsist. we are all better than that so show and prove to yourself that you are.

my uncle once told me to make sure that i surrounded myself around lots of white people because the competition would be benificial to my future. i disagreed with it then and i disagree with it now. the best way to stay comepetitive is to focus on you. be the best that you can be. don't feed into the dog eat dog world syndrome. believe in yourself, have enough trust and faith in you to know that you can succeed in life even when all odds point the other way. the competition will continue to be there, but you don't need that competition to make you rise to the occassion. be competitive with yourself and that in itself will bring out the best in you. and most of all never stop trying , never become complacent. always set new goals for yourself. as far as the whole black and white theory. well yeah it exsist. but who the hell cares. never worry about what people do to try to defeat your cause, follow your dreams , steady the road , and when you get there, you can just look back and smile. while others are pouring lots of energy into defeating you, you pour your energy into accomplishing your next goal. and eventually the strong as always will survive. yep
